The legendary NAPALM DEATH will be releasing their 14th studio album, Utilitarian, on February 27th in Europe and February 28th in North America. In anticipation of this release, the band has now launched an “Occupy Napalm” Facebook tab to show their support for the Occupy movement and to provide fans with the latest news about their politically-charged Utilitarian. The campaign offers downloadable Occupy-themed stencils and screensavers, plus a special video teaser for Utilitarian created by Mitch Harris (guitar, vocals).

Progressive atmospheric death metallers 7 HORNS 7 EYES will be releasing their debut full-length album, “Throes Of Absolution”, in North America on April 24th, 2012 via Century Media Records!

The band will release their brand new full length album entitled “Baptized in Filth” on March 13, 2012. Produced by Andreas Magnusson (The Black Dahlia Murder) and Machine. This is the bands fourth full length and most ferocious effort to date.

Battle metallers TURISAS will be heading back to North America this spring for “PaganFest: America Part III”, their first-ever US headlining run. Joining the Finnish sextet on their triumphant return to the States is a gathering of bands from across the world: Scotland’s ALESTORM, Rome’s EX DEO, Russia’s ARKONA, and the US’s very own HUNTRESS.

É impossível negar que os LAMB OF GOD têm sofrido uma onda de enorme sucesso nos últimos anos. Tanto “Sacrament” (2006), como “Wrath” (2009), tornaram a banda um dos maiores nomes do metal moderno, que percorreu o mundo nos últimos anos para apresentar os ditos álbuns. O quinteto de Richmond, do estado de Virginia (EUA), traz-nos agora “Resolution” como o primeiro álbum da banda nesta década que agora ‘começa’.
‘Straight For The Sun’ funciona como uma introdução para o que se segue, por se apresentar mais lenta e menos extrema, com um riff apontado a BLACK SABBATH. Assim que explode a segunda faixa, surgem os LAMB OF GOD: a banda agressiva e intensa que é, sempre marcada pelos riffs técnico-melódicos de Mark Morton e Willie Adler. E em relação ao último “Wrath”, surgem novas camadas de complexidade e melhor capacidade de composição. Há algumas faixas típicas do sucesso, como ‘Ghost Walking’ ou ‘The Undertow’, mas também há uma veia coordenadora da inovação – ‘The Number Six’ ou a instrumental ‘Barbarosa’ mostram-nos uns LAMB OF GOD seguros das suas ideias. Chris Adler mantém o seu excelente trabalho na percussão, algo que habituou os fãs da banda. Randy Blythe também surge mais inpirado do que no lançamento anterior, parecendo testar os limites da garganta. E por mais estranho que pareça, guardaram-nos a surpresa para a última faixa. Um tema orquestrado para um final épico, bem ao estilo do metal europeu.
Estes novos elementos garantem ao som familiar de LAMB OF GOD uma nova vitalidade e potência, mesmo que possa aborrecer o ouvinte com os seus mais de 55 minutos de groove.
